Faerie Card with Quote Envelope

SUPPLIES:
FSSK-4tt - Twinkle and Twilight Stamp
FSSK-4tgfv - To get the full value...Mark Twain quote stamp
Scraps of white cardstock to stamp Fairie image and quote on
1-12x12 red double sided cardstock (Berry Red Double Mates #DMBR 12U WordWIN Papers) or 2- 8-1/2" x 11 contrasting colors cardstock as desired
1- scrap piece of coordinating scrap piece of paper (the patterned paper that I used is kwi Holiday Collection - 1976- Joyful Scrolls)
Adhesive of choice
6" Scrap piece of punchinella or ribbon
Cutting board, metal ruler, X-acto knife
Choice of coloring medium
Black permanent ink, other colors of ink if desired (I used Brilliance Poppy Red)

DIRECTIONS:
1- Stamp Fairy and quote on white cardstock. Color Fairy image as desired. Trim and layer as desired.
2- Cut red cardstock lengthwise 5" x 11". Fold both pieces in half so that they measure 5" x 5-1/2". If you are using cardstock with two different colors on the front and back, make sure that the color you want on the inside of the card is facing you.
3- Lay one of the pieces open horizontally with the inside facing you and with a metal ruler and X-acto knife, cut the right side from fold top to the bottom right of the piece and set aside. With the second piece, do the same EXCEPT cut from the fold top to the bottom LEFT of the piece.
4- With contrasting or patterned paper, cut two rectangles 5" x 4-1/4".
5- First piece, cut on diagonally from upper top right corner to bottom left corner and adhere bottom right corner to front of right flap of criss-cross card.
6- Second piece, cut on diagonal from left top corner to right bottom corner and adhere bottom left corner to left flap of criss-cross card.
7- Open the flaps and run adhesive along the bottom of the inside card and fold in the left flap over the inside of the card. Run adhesive over a little of the right side of the closed flap and close the right flap over to close the card.
8- Adhere your punchinella or ribbon. Cover with the layered quote.
